Increase to 150 hectares of vineyards
Following the growth strategy of Casa Américo Wines, last July, the deed of acquisition of another 30 hectares of vineyards was done. With 150 hectares of vineyards, we are the largest producer of the Serra da Estrela, Dão Sub-region.
The acquisition of the Quinta Da Garrida and the Quinta das Casticeiras, previously owned by Quintas Aliança in Dão, from Bacalhôa group, represents a major investment in the preservation and development of the Serra da Estrela, Dão Sub-region wine heritage.
These vineyards are a reference in Dão region’s wine heritage. With excellent exposure, with high quality productions and with the main indigenous varieties of the region.
Besides the vineyards, the brands Quinta da Garrida and Garrida were also acquired, with the 2022 harvest being the first one made by Casa Américo Wines.
This investment reaffirms the objective of being a reference in the Sub-region of Serra da Estrela, Dão.
