This month the Branco 625 mts received a double recognition!
In the February 2022 edition of Revista de Vinhos and Grandes Escolhas, Casa Américo, Vinha de Altitude, 625 mts White, 2018 was recognized.
It was considered by the tasting panel of Revista de Vinhos as one of the Best Wines of 2021, one of the most outstanding in the Dão region (page 118, Revista de Vinhos 387, Feb. 2020), with a rating of 17.5. This nomination results from the tasting of thousands of wines from all regions and national demarcations and types of wines.
In the cover article, Brancos do Dão, from Grandes Escolhas Magazine, 27 white wines from Dão were tasted. Casa Américo 625 mts Branco, 2018, won 18 points and the “Boa Escolha 2022” classification (page 65, Grandes Escolhas 58, Feb. 2020).
Great Choices Tasting Note: “The variety is very present in the nose, all with aromatic purity, deep and latent, with a very present mineral. Mouth tasting in line with the nose, mineral and austere, wet stone, fresh grass, ends with power and freshness. Very good.”
