Casa Américo, White Reserve, 2020

The Casa Américo White Reserve wine is produced with a selection of the best white grapes of the Encruzado, Bical and Cerceal-Branco varieties, from various plots, aged between 40 and 80 years. These vineyard plots are located in the Vila Nova da Tazem area, with granitic soil at an altitude between 400 and 600 mts, in the Serra Estrela sub-region, at Dão Region, Porugal.
Slight aging for 4 months in french oak barrels.

Winemaker Pedro Pereira’s Tasting Notes: Citrus yellow color. Nose with fine notes of barrel, floral and citrus nuances. Intense mouth with volume, refreshing freshness with a long finish.

The Casa Américo White Reserve vintage 2020 received 17 points in the Grandes Escolhas magazine. “Encruzado (40%), Bical (30%) and Cerceal-Branco (30%), partly fermented in barrels. The wood is present enough, letting the quality fruit, citrus and apricot notes emerge.
